なかなか、月を見る。月の写真を撮る。という機会はないですが。モモンガを観察していると、月も面白い遊び道具になります。日没後に巣穴から出てくるモモンガが、木の上で餌を食べ始めるとその奥に綺麗なお月様があったりします。朝は、暗いうちにモモンガを探していると、東の空にまだ沈む前のお月様が浮かんでていて、月とモモンガが重なる場所を探して、うろうろしたりします。夜行性の動物だからこそ、見れる世界がエゾモモンガの魅力の一つだと思います。
It's not often that you get a chance to see the moon or take a photo of it, but when you observe flying squirrels, the moon also becomes an interesting plaything. When flying squirrels emerge from their burrows after sunset and start eating food high up in the trees, you can see a beautiful moon in the distance. In the morning, when you're looking for flying squirrels while it's still dark, you'll see the moon floating in the eastern sky before it sets, and they'll wander around looking for the place where the moon and the flying squirrel overlap. I think one of the charms of the Siberian flying squirrel is the world that they can see precisely because they are nocturnal animals.
月とモモンガの写真を撮るチャンスは、
１、まず月があること。２、モモンガが月と一緒になるような場場所にいてくれること。３、暗い中で動くモモンガを見つけてくれる人がいること。４、月とモモンガが重なる場所を見つける。５、カメラの能力を駆使して、上手に撮影できたら大成功。
To get a chance to take a photo of the moon and a flying squirrel,
1. First, there needs to be a moon. 2. The flying squirrel needs to be in a place where it will be together with the moon. 3. There needs to be someone who can find the flying squirrel moving in the dark. 4. Find a place where the moon and the flying squirrel overlap. 5. If you can use the capabilities of your camera to take a good photo, it will be a great success.
１、月があることは、月が上がってくる時（満月前）は夕暮れがチャンス。逆に、月が沈む時（満月の後）は、早朝がチャンスです。カレンダーや月のこよみをチェックします。
２、月とモモンガのツーショットを狙える場所は、稀にあります。普通は、森の深く、木が混み合っていて撮影や観察が難しい場所がほとんどですが、時と場所によっては、他の木々がなく、枝が少なく、モモンガと空が抜ける場所があります。そんな場所を考えながら、月のタイミングに合わせてそこに行く。
３、月が明るい時間帯に、枝先、木の上にいるモモンガを見つけることは、毎日見ているような人でないと１００％不可能です。なので、そこは、ガイドに見つけてもらいます。
４、月とモモンガが重なる場所、立ち位置は点で、一人、もしくは2人しか、同時に観察撮影はできないです。
５、カメラの能力ですが、カメラの操作でAELボタンをよく使います。露出値を一定に保つボタンですが、モモンガを真っ黒く写すか、逆光にモモンガの毛並みが光るように撮るかは、考えながら、カメラの能力を駆使して、上手に写真や動画が撮れたら大成功です。

4. The spot where the moon and the flying squirrels overlap is a point, and only one or two people can observe them at the same time.
5. As for the capabilities of your camera, I often use the AEL button to operate the camera. This button keeps the exposure value constant, so you should think about whether you want to capture the flying squirrel completely black or take a picture so that its fur shines in the backlight. If you can use the camera's capabilities to take good photos and videos, it will be a great success.
