Seasons change, from winter to spring,

seasons end and seasons begin.

It's interesting because the seasons change.

I spent time in the forest before sunrise, enduring the harsh winter cold, my fingertips so cold they hurt.

During the winter days, I was amazed and impressed by the flying squirrels that emerged from their holes one after another.

The black and white monotone world is simple, but the soft, fluffy presence of creatures emerges. For a moment, you can even feel the footsteps of a flying squirrel and the wind pressure.

The transparency of the sunset, starry sky, and sunrise emerges in the ice-cold, clear air.

It is only in the winter of Tokachi that such a miracle can happen.

As March approaches, the seasons begin to change rapidly with the increase in light and temperature. Even if you watch every day, it's a season where it's difficult to predict the changes that you can't keep up with. Due to the high temperatures and breeding behavior, Siberian flying squirrels disperse and change their burrows. This is the season when the chasing between males and females begins. And as if to conclude the winter, Siberian flying squirrels finish mating, and winter comes to an end, marking the end of their winter season.

Winter is coming to an end, so I'll organize my photos and update my blog and website as I feel like it. I'm grateful for winter, for the wildlife, and for the nature of Tokachi. Thank you very much.
